• Snippets (shortcuts and expanded text)
• Account credentials (email, password hash) for the web app
• Settings and preferences (limits, sync choice, hotkeys)
• Basic technical information (browser type, IP address) necessary to operate and secure the service

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to:

• Provide clipboard history and text expander functionality
• Sync data across devices when enabled
• Authenticate users on the web platform
• Improve service reliability and performance

3. Storage

Data is stored locally on your device by default. Optional Browser Sync syncs via your browser account. The web app stores data securely on our servers with encryption at rest.

4. What We Don't Collect

• No third-party analytics or ad tracking
• No browsing history
• No keystrokes outside defined snippet expansion

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help operate Clipboard+ (e.g., hosting) and when required to comply with applicable law.

6. Security

Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Sensitive clipboard operations run within sandboxed environments. Principle of least privilege for data access.

7. Your Controls

• Clear history and snippets anytime
• Export/import snippet libraries
• Switch between Local and Sync storage
• Delete your account and all data through settings

8. Children's Privacy

Clipboard+ is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
