CommitCraft AI: Smart Git Commits

CommitCraft AI is a safe, focused Git commit assistant for VS Code that helps developers turn local changes into clear, structured commit messages. It reviews staged changes first, lets you choose exactly which files are included, generates an editable Conventional Commit message through OpenRouter, and then gives you full control to Commit, Push, or Commit + Push.

It is designed to be helpful without being autonomous. Nothing is committed or pushed without your explicit confirmation. CommitCraft also protects sensitive files by excluding .env, secret-like paths, certificates, lockfiles, binary/generated assets, and oversized files from AI prompts. You can see excluded files and reasons directly in the assistant before generating a message.
