Is AI Terminal really free?

Yes. AI Terminal is free to download and use. You bring your own API keys or local models — you control your AI spend.

Where are my API keys stored?

API keys are stored in macOS Keychain, never in browser storage or sent to our servers.

Does AI Terminal run commands automatically?

By default, no. AI Terminal proposes commands and waits for your approval. You can enable auto-accept mode when you trust the plan.

What happens if I skip onboarding?

You can configure providers later from the settings. The app will prompt you when you try to use AI features without a configured provider.

Is Windows supported?

Not yet. Windows 10/11 support is planned. Currently macOS only.
