We designed Blockme MotherFocus to be privacy-first.

What we collect

• We do not collect any personal data on our servers.
• All website usage data is stored locally on your device, or in your browser’s Sync storage if you choose "Sync" in settings.
• We do not transmit your usage data to any external service.

What we store

• Blocked sites list, whitelist, theme, subdomain preference, storage scope, and usage analytics (time spent per domain by day) are saved in the browser’s extension storage.
• Usage history is retained indefinitely and only cleared when you do it manually from the popup.

Optional sync

• If you enable Sync in settings, your browser may sync your data across your signed-in devices per your browser’s policies. We do not see or receive this data.

Blocking vs Tracking

• Turning blocking off in the popup does not stop tracking. We continue to track website usage so charts remain accurate.
• You can "Clear Usage" anytime from the popup. This immediately deletes historical usage from storage.

Permissions

• Storage: to save your settings and usage data.
• Tabs: to know which site is active so we can measure time spent.
• DeclarativeNetRequest: to block configured domains efficiently.
• Idle: to pause tracking while you’re away.

Data export

• You can export your usage data as CSV from the popup for your personal analysis.
