Privacy Policy
Blockme MotherFocus – Privacy Policy\nEffective Date: 09/26/2025\n\nBlockme MotherFocus ("Extension") is developed by Aperca LLC ("we", "our", "us"). Blockme MotherFocus is intentionally privacy-first. We do not collect, sell, rent, analyze, or monetize your personal data. No accounts. No ads. No external analytics.\n\n1. Data We DO NOT Collect or Transmit\n• Browsing history or full URLs you visit\n• Personal identifiers (email, name, account IDs)\n• Your blocklists, categories, or usage analytics\n• Keystrokes, form data, or content\n• Third-party tracking beacons, fingerprinting, or telemetry\n\nAll logic runs locally in your browser environment.\n\n2. Local-Only Data (Stored in browser storage)\nThe Extension may store:\n• Blocked domains / wildcard patterns\n• Category assignments (e.g., Social, News, AI)\n• Local webtime counters (active foreground time per domain/category)\n• Theme preference (dark / light)\n• Enable/disable state & shortcut toggles\n• Optional motivational block page setting\n\n3. Optional Sync\nIf you enable your browser's native sync, certain settings may sync across devices using your browser vendor's encrypted infrastructure. We never receive or access that data. Disable sync in your browser to keep all data single-device.\n\n4. Block Page Behavior\nWhen a blocked site is accessed, a local block screen is displayed. It may show a random motivational quote and/or your focus status (if a future focus mode is added). Nothing is sent externally.\n\n5. Permissions Explained\n• Storage: Persist settings & lists\n• Declarative Net Request / Web Request: Apply blocking rules efficiently\n• Active Tab (if required by browser): Evaluate current tab domain\n• Scripting (MV3): Inject minimal UI for block page display when needed\n• Alarms (future use): Maintenance tasks (e.g., daily counter rollover)\nNo permission is used for remote data exfiltration.\n\n6. Children\nNot directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data.\n\n7. Security\nBecause data is local, risk surface is small. Keep your browser updated for security patches. If you share a computer profile, others with access to that profile may see your block settings.\n\n8. Data Removal\nUninstalling or clearing site/extension storage deletes all stored data. There is no server copy.\n\n9. Changes\nWe may update this policy for clarity or new local-only features. Material updates will be reflected in release notes.\n\n10.
