Tab Saving & Memory
How much memory does it really save?
Each open tab uses approximately 50MB of RAM. If you save and close 20 tabs, you'll free up about 1GB of memory, making your browser significantly faster.
What happens to my tabs when I save them?
Your tabs are stored locally in the extension. You can close the actual tabs to free memory, then restore them anytime from Tab Master.
Can I save tabs from multiple windows?
Yes. You can save all tabs from the current window or select specific tabs to save.

How do I find a saved tab?

Is my browsing data tracked?
No. Analytics are generated locally from your saved tabs. No data is sent to any server.

Privacy & Permissions
Where is my data stored?
By default, all data is stored locally in your browser. If you enable Browser Sync, data is synced using your browser's encrypted sync service.
Do you collect any data?
No. We don't collect analytics, browsing history, or personal information. Your data never leaves your browser unless you enable Browser Sync.
Why does the extension need tabs permission?
To read and save your tab information (URLs, titles) and restore tabs when you need them.
Sync & Backup
Can I access my tabs on other devices?
Yes, if you enable Browser Sync. Your saved tabs will sync across all devices signed into the same browser account.
Can I export my data?
Yes — export all your saved tabs and groups to a JSON file for backup or migration.

Troubleshooting
Saved tabs aren't appearing.
- Check that the extension has tabs permission
- Try refreshing the extension
- Check if you're viewing the correct window/group
Sync isn't working.
- Ensure you're signed into your browser account
- Check that sync is enabled in extension settings
- Verify Browser Sync is enabled in your browser settings
Keyboard shortcuts aren't working.
- Check chrome://extensions/shortcuts for conflicts
- Reload the extension after changing shortcuts
- Ensure no other extension is using the same shortcut
