Stand-Up Notes

What are the four sections?

• Yesterday — What you worked on yesterday
• Today — What you're planning to work on today
• Blockers — Any impediments or issues blocking your progress
• Action Items — Follow-ups, tasks, and things that need attention

How do I create a stand-up note?

Click the DailySync icon → Fill in the four sections (Yesterday, Today, Blockers, Action Items) → Notes auto-save as you type.

Can I edit past notes?

Yes. Access your note history and edit any previous stand-up note.

How long are notes kept?

Notes are kept indefinitely unless you delete them or clear your data.

What is Sticky Popup Mode?

Pin your stand-up notes to any webpage during meetings. Keep them visible while you reference other tabs or take notes during the stand-up.

Auto-Save & Carry Forward

What does "carry forward" mean?

Unfinished tasks and action items automatically roll into the next day's stand-up, so you never lose track of important items.

Can I customize what gets carried forward?

Yes. Review and edit carried-forward items before your next stand-up.

Reminders

How do I set up a daily reminder?

Go to Options → Set your preferred time → Enable notifications in your browser.

Can I have multiple reminders?

Yes. You can set multiple reminders for different times or purposes.

What if I miss a reminder?

Missed reminders will show in your notification history and can be snoozed or dismissed.

Privacy & Permissions

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to external servers. Your notes stay private and secure.

Do you collect analytics or browsing history?

No. DailySync doesn't collect any analytics, tracking data, or browsing history. We respect your privacy.

Can I sync across devices?

Yes. You can optionally enable Browser Sync to sync your notes across devices using your browser account (Chrome Sync or Edge Sync).

Why does the extension need notification permissions?

To send you reminders at your scheduled stand-up times.

Troubleshooting

Notifications aren't showing

• Check browser notification settings
• Ensure DailySync has notification permissions
• Test notifications in extension settings

Can't sync across devices

• Verify Browser Sync is enabled in settings
• Check that you're signed into the same browser account
• Try disabling and re-enabling sync
