DailySync

A lightweight stand-up companion for Scrum teams to record daily notes, track impediments, and manage action items. Simple, powerful, and privacy-focused.

Getting Started

This guide helps you install and start using DailySync in minutes.

1) Install the extension

  • Open Chrome/Edge → More (⋮) → Extensions → Manage Extensions
  • Search for "DailySync" in the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons
  • Click "Add to Chrome" or "Get" for Edge
  • The extension should appear in your toolbar

2) Grant required permissions

  • When prompted, allow notification permissions for reminders
  • Confirm any optional permissions you want

3) Create your first stand-up note

  • Click the DailySync icon in your toolbar
  • Fill in the four sections:
  • Yesterday — What you worked on
  • Today — What you're planning to do
  • Blockers — Any impediments or issues
  • Action Items — Follow-ups and tasks
  • Notes auto-save as you type

4) Use Sticky Popup Mode

  • Pin your note to any webpage during meetings
  • Keep it visible while you reference other tabs
  • Drag and resize as needed

5) Set up reminders

  • Open the extension Options page
  • Configure your daily stand-up reminder time
  • Enable notifications to get reminded at your scheduled time

6) Carry forward unfinished items

  • Unfinished tasks automatically roll into the next day
  • Review and update as you start your new stand-up
  • Never lose track of action items

Troubleshooting 🧰

  • If notifications don't work, check browser notification settings
  • Ensure the extension has permission to show notifications
  • Try the "Test notification" button in settings

Uninstalling

  • Remove the extension from chrome://extensions or edge://extensions
  • Data stored locally will be removed with the extension unless you exported it
