Getting Started
Welcome! This guide will walk you through installing, setting up, and using MarkUpShot for the first time.

β Requirements
- A Chromium-based browser that supports extensions (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Brave)
- Permissions to capture tabs/screens for screenshots
1) Install the Extension
- Open your browserβs extensions store and search for βMarkUpShotβ
- Click Add to Browser
- Confirm required permissions

2) Open the App
- Click the MarkUpShot toolbar icon
- Or open the context menu in a page and choose Capture

3) Take Your First Capture
- Choose the capture type (Region, Tab, Full page)
- Use the crosshair to select an area (if region)
- The editor opens automatically

4) Annotate
- Pick a tool: Arrow, Box, Text, Highlight, Blur
- Adjust color, thickness, and opacity
- Use Undo/Redo to refine

5) Stitch Multiple Screens
- Capture multiple steps/screens
- Open Stitch view from the editor
- Arrange, align, and add spacing

- Export to PNG/JPEG/PDF
- Copy to clipboard
- Choose quality/DPI presets

7) Tips & Shortcuts
- Hold Shift to constrain angles
- Use β/Ctrl + Z to undo, β/Ctrl + Y/Shift+Z to redo
- Double-click to edit text annotations quickly
Troubleshooting π¬
- If captures are blank, verify tab/screen permissions
- For full-page captures, scrollable areas must be accessible (no fixed overlays)
- Report issues with steps to reproduce and browser version
